Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer to join the team. As the Senior App Sec Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in protecting our client's applications and data from potential threats and vulnerabilities. You will work alongside a dynamic team of experts to implement and maintain robust security measures and foster a culture of security awareness.
Responsibilities:
Perform in-depth security assessments on applications to identify and address vulnerabilities.
Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
Conduct code reviews and provide guidance to developers on secure coding practices.
Proactively monitor and respond to security incidents.
Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and industry best practices.
Develop and maintain security policies and procedures.
Mentor and guide junior members of the security team.
Identify and implement new security technologies and tools.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience as an Application Security Engineer, with a strong background in security assessment and secure coding practices.
Knowledge of application security standards (e.g., OWASP) and secure development methodologies.
Familiarity with common security tools and practices, including penetration testing, source code analysis, and threat modeling.
Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or C/C++.
Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CSSLP) are a plus.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
