Salary Range: £80,000 - £100,000

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer to join the team. As the Senior App Sec Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in protecting our client's applications and data from potential threats and vulnerabilities. You will work alongside a dynamic team of experts to implement and maintain robust security measures and foster a culture of security awareness.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-depth security assessments on applications to identify and address vulnerabilities.

  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

  • Conduct code reviews and provide guidance to developers on secure coding practices.

  • Proactively monitor and respond to security incidents.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and industry best practices.

  • Develop and maintain security policies and procedures.

  • Mentor and guide junior members of the security team.

  • Identify and implement new security technologies and tools.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • Proven experience as an Application Security Engineer, with a strong background in security assessment and secure coding practices.

  • Knowledge of application security standards (e.g., OWASP) and secure development methodologies.

  • Familiarity with common security tools and practices, including penetration testing, source code analysis, and threat modeling.

  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or C/C++.

  • Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CSSLP) are a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
