Security Automation Engineer | UK Hybrid | £60,000 - £75,000

I am working with a private equity backed Consultancy who has won MSSP of the year 2021 and Checkpoint partner of the year 2022, they specialise in SOC services Network Security, providing top class support to their clients across the UK.

They are looking for a Security Automation Engineer to join their team.

This role is very much focused around designing, implementing and maintaining automated security solutions, whilst also helping out with monitoring security events and responding to these incidents. You will also work closely with other SOC Analysts in the team but be a step up from them, working very closely with the SOC Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain security automation scripts and tools.

  • Develop playbooks for automated incident handling .

  • Monitor security events and respond to incidents promptly.

  • Conduct security assessments and vulnerability management.

  • Leverage Logic Apps to automate security processes, incident response, and threat detection.

  • Maintain clear and concise documentation for security automation processes.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Security Automation or SOC Engineer.

  • Strong expertise in automation workflows and developing playbooks

  • Proficiency in security information and event management (SIEM) systems.

  • In-depth understanding of cyber security principles and best practices.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members

  • Preferred to have proficiency in Logic Apps development and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
