SOC Engineer – London Hybrid - £30,000 - £40,000 + Bonus + Benefits
Locke & McCloud are looking for an experienced SOC Engineer to join our client, a leading security provider looking to grow their Cyber Security team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in providing second-line technical support and serving as an escalation point for our First Line support team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and have a strong understanding of F5 products and network security technologies.
Main Responsibilities:
second-line technical support for F5 products, including BIG-IP, ASM, APM, and DNS Load Balancer.
monitor F5 infrastructure to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
with customers and stakeholders to resolve complex technical issues and provide guidance on best practices.
and maintain technical documentation, including user guides, FAQs, and knowledge articles.
in incident management and problem resolution activities, including conducting root cause analyses.
closely with internal teams to ensure a high level of service delivery and customer satisfaction.
remote support and assistance with change management for our client base on a 24x7 basis as required.
and monitor call queues to ensure adherence to customer SLAs.
as a proactive Technical Account Manager for large corporate clients, serving as a single point of contact for issue escalation.
To be considered for this role, you should have:
experience providing second-line technical support for F5 products, including BIG-IP, ASM, APM, and DNS Load Balancer.
track record of providing remote support and change management assistance to clients on a 24x7 basis.
working knowledge of at least one other security product among Check Point, Zscaler, Netskope, Fortinet, Pulse Secure, or Palo Alto.
understanding of networking technologies, including LAN/WAN, routing, switching, IP sub-netting, and the 7-layer OSI model and associated protocols.
experience in an IT service role, with a focus on supporting and troubleshooting network security environments.
troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
to work well as part of a team or independently with minimal supervision.
