Cyber Incident Response Engagement Lead

Salary Range: $165,000 - $185,000

We have partnered with an award winning consultancy that is looking for a Incident Response Engagement Lead to grow their team to support their customers projects. About the Role:

As a Cyber Incident Response Engagement Lead, you will play a pivotal role in helping organizations recover from cyber incidents. You will lead project teams of incident responders, analyzing forensic evidence such as logs, malware, and network data, and guiding clients through secure recovery processes. Your key responsibilities will include:

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Project Scoping:

    Act as a first responder to cyber-attacks, running triage calls with clients to understand the scope of the incident and outline support strategy.

  • Project Management:

  • Manage the incident response from initial call to resolution, ensuring effective and efficient delivery within schedule and budget.

This includes:

  • Containing incidents with clients.

  • Overseeing forensic analysis teams.

  • Advising on strategies for responding to cyber threat actors.

  • Providing ‘war room’ guidance for clients during incidents.

  • Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including victims, lawyers, and insurance professionals.

Candidates with digital forensics and incident response (DFIR) experience, particularly in incident handling, will be prioritized. However, we encourage applicants with adjacent experience to apply, as we offer training and support for the right candidates.

Work Locations:

  • Remote within the United States

  • Full-time or hybrid in New York, NY

  • Full-time or hybrid in Washington, D.C.

Candidates must have permission to work in the US by the start of their employment.
