Cyber Security Engineer – UK remote - £60,000 - £75,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Locke & McCloud have recently partnered with a leading retail organisation to bring on an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to join their established but expanding cyber security function! In this newly developed role, you will be responsible for implementing security measures, conducting vulnerability assessments, and responding to security incidents, in addition to participating in strategy development as a key leader within our clients security function.

This would be a great opportunity for an experienced Cyber/Information Security Engineer who is looking to stay hands on technically, but have an element of leadership implemented into their next position!

Main responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain security measures to protect our clients systems and networks.

  • Conduct regular security assessments and penetration tests.

  • Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices.

  • Monitor systems for security breaches and respond to security incidents.

  • Investigate security incidents and develop strategies for remediation.

  • Collaborate with various teams to integrate security solutions into new and existing systems.

  • Participate in senior leadership meetings as the key cyber security engineer to advise on security best practice and recommend necessary changes across our clients security function.

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Experience working in Information/Cyber Security, ideally in a technical hands on/engineering role.

  • Hands-on experience with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus software, and SIEM solutions.

  • Experience with cloud security principles and practices with either AWS or Azure.

  • Experience implementing policies and procedures in alignment with standards such as ISO27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, Cyber Essentials, and similar.

Our client offers an attractive benefits package that includes a bonus scheme, private medical care, pension, life assurance, gym membership scheme, generous annual leave and more!
