​Role: Network Security Engineer

Location: Hybrid (Kansas City)

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 DOE

We are an international Cyber Security Consultancy looking for a highly experienced Network Security Engineer to join our clients team in Kansas City. As a Network Security Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our client's network security infrastructure, ensuring it is operating securely and effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the network security infrastructure of our clients

• Implement and manage firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems

• Conduct regular security assessments, identifying and mitigating potential security risks

• Troubleshoot network security issues, providing solutions in a timely and efficient manner

• Collaborate with other teams to develop security policies and procedures

• Provide support and guidance to junior team members

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in network security engineering

• Strong knowledge of networking protocols and infrastructure

• Deep-rooted expertise in Firewall Management

• Experience managing Multi Vendor firewall environments, ideally with Palo Alto, Fortinet, Checkpoint, Cisco and Juniper

• Proven track record of implementing and managing security solutions

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
